Ulrika Gomm (born in Stockholm, 1978) is a visual artist working with documentary fragments and sampled materials, translated and transformed, at times. In a spatial context the material is regenerated in an installation of moving imagery, sounds and text, observing the relation between poetics and poetry. She often works on the border between architecture and nature. Her installations articulate and merge narratives, individual and official testimonies are connected to events, places and persons. She is interested in the phenomena of repetition and oblivion, and how these become manifested in structures, layers and bodies.
